Collection and Visit for Seniors Aug. 29th

header_assisted-livingWe’re getting our first Service month off to a roaring start! As we discussed at the meeting, we’ll be collecting items for seniors in the region. We’re collecting for the Mt. Pleasant Manor (both genders, Mt. Pleasant) and Bowles Community Home (15 men, McClellenville) because these seem to be the people with no money and no family.
These are the items we’ve been directed to collect:
Toiletries and hygiene products (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrush and paste, comb/brush), towels, washcloths, band aids, ziplock bags, chap stick, tissue packs, postal stamps and paper/cards/postcards, pajamas, sheets, blankets (regular and electric), pillows, robes, clothes, books (large print would be nice), magazines, books on tape/CD, something to listen on (small radios with CD players at WalMart are cheap!), TV/VCR/DVD players, and anything else you might want if you were in their position.
The details of our Service time are still being finalized, but it will be the 29th of August, which is a Saturday. Please save the date, and we’ll let you know what we’re doing as soon as feasible.
Let me know of any questions, and we thank you for your kind participation in this project!
Yours in Service,
