Leadership Planning Retreat Summary, No April Board Meeting

Due to the Leadership Planning Retreat being held this past Friday, there will not be a board meeting this month.

Thank you to Judy Parsons for providing the venue for the Retreat at the Wyndham Garden Inn.

Be a gift to the worldRI President-elect K.R. “Ravi” Ravindran chose Be a Gift to the World as his theme for 2015-2016.  Ravindran urges Rotary members to give the gifts of time, talent, and knowledge to improve lives in communities across the globe.  President Elect Charles Muldrow has embraced this theme for the upcoming year with Service as the number one priority. Below is his Vision and Goals for the Year:

a) Service * opportunity * options * flexibility * empowerment

b) Fun * every meeting * every event * more socials

c) Involvement * every member * not everything

d) Member Buy-in * membership * fundraising * public-image * Rotary checklist

e) Communication * keep the Club informed of all the things that are going on, and the community informed of all that Rotary does.

f) Framework for Future Success * Build on the Leadership development of the Executive Board so that each subsequent President is prepared.

Those that attended the Retreat broke out into round-table discussions and developed many great ideas that will be implemented this year.  We look forward to everyone’s participation in the coming months and hope that each one of us will choose to Be A Gift to the World.
