Our meeting speaker for March 10, 2015 will be Jon Yarian, Co-Chair of the Organizational Committee for Social Venture Partners in Charleston, SC.
After beginning his career as a writer and editor in Charleston, South Carolina, Jon Yarian moved to Washington, D.C. to focus on strategic communications. He served as communications director for a six-term member of Congress and later joined a boutique media relations company where he represented a variety of non-profit organizations, corporations and issue advocacy groups. In 2008, Jon moved back to Charleston and founded SeaChange.
Jon has counseled Fortune 500 companies, bestselling authors, national non-profit institutions and one of the largest social networking websites in the world. His clients have been featured in print and broadcast outlets including The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, CNN, and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”. In 2010, Jon served as editor and ghostwriter on a political book for HarperCollins Publishers that reached the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists.
