It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our fellow Rotarian and good friend, George Stocko, this past Sunday. George was a long time member and our Club’s Foundation Chair. This past June he received the Key Way Award in recognition of his continued support of Rotary Foundation.
George was born February 23, 1946 in Mailes, Germany, son of the late Leonid Stocko and Tamara Buczynska Stocko. He was owner of PPT LLC, a former Mason and an active member of East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club serving as the Club’s Foundation Chairman.
He is survived by his wife, Ursula Stocko of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, Alexander George Stocko and his wife Josie Taylor Stocko of Atlanta, GA; his sister-in-law, Lieselotte Ableitinger and her husband Helmut Ableitinger of Austria, and sister-in-law Gaby Stocko of Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Stocko.
