The East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club will meet Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. in The Cooper River Room at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park. We are pleased to have Nicole Myles, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, as our speaker. Breakfast catered by Dish and Design Catering and Events.
Nichole Myles is the executive director of the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry. Assuming the role in 2015, she has focused the museum on providing high-quality, play-based museum programming and services for the Charleston area’s youngest citizens through a variety of outlets both on and off the museum’s sites. Under her leadership, the museum has expanded services to create a total reach of over 190,000 children, their caregivers and educators through onsite work, new outreach programming, as well as providing teacher coaching and professional development. Prior to leading the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, Myles served as Chief Education and Experience Officer at the Putnam Museum and Science Center in Davenport, Iowa. Throughout her career, encompassing both formal and informal education settings, she has worked in the areas of arts education, STEM, literacy and interdisciplinary curriculum development.
