Colleen Vaughn moved to Charleston, SC a year ago after graduating from Winthrop University in 2018 with a bachelors degree in psychology. She works at a daycare on James Island and does volunteer work with NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Illness. Colleen is a board member of NAMI Charleston Area, the local NAMI affiliate. As a board member, Colleen is the walk manager for NAMI Walks Charleston, she helps educate the community on mental health, promotes awareness on topics related to mental health, and does social media management. In her free time, Colleen enjoys spending time with loved ones and reading. In 2012, Colleen was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student to Belgium. As a former Rotary Exchange Student, she continues to demonstrate “Service Above Self” in the work that she does.
