The East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club will welcome Ray Huff, Director of Clemson Architecture Center, as our guest speaker Tuesday, April 26, 2106. The mission of the Clemson Architecture Center in Charleston (CAC.C) is to bridge academia and practice by teaching in a hybrid environment—a cross between academic and professional modes of work. The faculty is comprised entirely of professionals. As space permits, students may take internships (for credit and pay) with local architects, landscape architects, urban designers, craftsmen, and contractors. Also devoted to service learning, CAC.C studios are offered in two tracks, urban design and fabrication, that work on actual issues and projects in Charleston and the Low Country. Students work collaboratively, often on teams led by professors and graduate students.
