People Against Rape (PAR) is a sexual assault advocacy program offering free support and services for survivors of sexual assault in Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties of South Carolina. PAR was founded in 1974. In September 1975, they became one of the first rape crisis centers in South Carolina.
