PorkAndPearls2016_WEB-196x300Windwood Family Services will be hosting its annual Pork & Pearls fundraiser on February 20th from 3:00PM to 7:00PM. If you are not familiar with the event, it is Windwood’s largest fundraiser of the year and is held on the Grand Lawn of Volvo Cars Stadium (formerly Family Circle Stadium). This event is an oyster and pig roast with two bands, VIP tents for sponsors, a kid zone, a silent auction area, and much more. That being said, we will need many volunteers to help set up, work during the event, and help us break down the event.

We would like to see a good participation from our Rotary Club at this event.  If you would like to volunteer please email Jill Aiken with the preferred shift time and duty you would like to help with (1st choice and 2nd choice). Example: 1st choice- Set up 9:00am-12:00pm 2nd choice- Silent Auction 2:00pm-5:30pm

The shift sign up is on a first come first serve basis.

All volunteers get in free, and can stay after their shift or come early before their shift to enjoy the event.

What to wear- comfortable clothing and tennis shoes, you will be on your feet.

The shift time slots are as follows:

  1. 9:00AM- 12:00
  2. 2:00-5:30
  3. 5:00-8:30

The duties you can sign up for are as follows:

  2. Registration
  3. Drink ticket sales
  4. Silent auction – man the area, answer attendees questions, relay info to Meg and Callie
  5. Kid zone – will have professional attendants but you will be making sure kids don’t cut lines, etc. (good for high school aged volunteers)
