The East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club will meet Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. in The Cooper River Room at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park. We are pleased to have Ken Garber of Water Mission as our guest speaker. Breakfast catered by Dish and Design.

Ken and his wife, Kelli, and their teenage son, Chase, are originally from the Washington, D.C. area. They moved to the Lowcountry in 2015 and reside in Mount Pleasant. Kelli is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with MUSC’s Teleheath Program, and Chase is a slightly-disgruntled freshman at the College of Charleston who wants to pursue a career in the marine science field.

Ken is a former youth pastor, journalist and marketing executive who started working in the non-profit world in 2013. His heart is in working for those who need help getting on track toward a better life.

He joined Water Mission in May of this year as a Donor Stewardship Manager. His hope is to be a part of the team that celebrates the end of the global water crisis.

Thank you to the staff and volunteers of Water Mission for giving us a tour of your facility Tuesday morning. You are providing amazing work to underprivileged countries where clean water is not readily available. We take for granted that we are able to drink and wash with clean water here in the U.S. whenever we want.
