The East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club will welcome Past President Pat Campbell as our guest speaker Tuesday, November 8, 2016 to give us an update on the local Rotary Gift of Life Program.

Over the past four decades the Rotary Gift of Life Program has helped more than 18,000 children from emerging countries receive treatment for their heart disease.  These children have come from 71 different countries, and otherwise, would not have been treated.  There are over 70 Gift of Life programs throughout the world.  The majority of these programs are based in Rotary Clubs or Rotary Districts on five continents.

Marlon, Rotary Gift of Life, PanamaMarlon had his first follow up visit with his doctors and passed with flying colors. He had ECCO, EKG, and a chest Xray during which he behaved like a true gentleman, only some minor fussing.

We have an appointment next Tuesday, July 2  and then the following Tuesday, July 9, after which he may be released to go home. His fat free formula seems to be successful so far and his lasik is reduced to one dose per day.

Marisin did a wonderful job thanking the East Cooper Rotary Club. She and Marlon also visited the Summerville Lunch Club. Host families included Helen & Dawes Cooke and Judy & Jim Beery.
