The East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club will meet Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. in The Cooper River Room at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park. We are pleased to have Chris Staubes of the Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce as our guest speaker. Breakfast catered by Dish and Design.

Chris Staubes is the owner of the Staubes Law Firm and the Harbor Group business brokerage. As founder and President of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (www.mountpleasantchamber.org), formerly the Mount Pleasant Business Association, his leadership has led to a tripling of the organization’s membership, expanded charitable giving, implemented a business education series known as Food For Thought, and created the Town Anchors program.

In 2014, Chris was elected to the Charleston County School Board, where he served as Vice Chairman. Chris also sits on the Executive Board for the Coastal Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In 2012, Chris participated in The Riley Institute® at Furman University, and was named a Riley Institute Diversity Fellow. Chris was General Counsel and a member of the Board of Directors for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce from 2000 – 2003. He is a 1998 graduate of the Leadership Charleston.

In 2001, Chris was named to the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 for his public and community service. Chris has an AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2010 in the field of Corporate Law.

Chris is a graduate of Wofford College and the University of South Carolina School of Law, and resides in Mt. Pleasant with his wife Tanya and their three children.
