The Oktoberfest 5K Run 2014 brought out 316 runners and walkers this year. What a great event for our community! Many thanks to all of the club members and volunteers who made this event a success. A special thanks goes out to Mike Bloser and Stephanie Bates for heading up this year’s race. We are proud of their accomplishments. Stay tuned for more on the results of the funds raised as we finalize the numbers.

Great weather and awesome food provided by Lawton Hayes’ team from Service Master of Charleston made the after party lots of fun. Runners and guests enjoyed this great food along with beer provided by Coast Brewery, Palmetto Brewery and Westbrook Brewery while they listened to the Oompah Band.

A huge thank you goes out to all of our sponsors who’s financial support and donations in kind made this event possible. Happy Feet

Rotarians:
Our annual Happy Feet Project to provide new shoes for school kids in near!!!

We partner with the Mount Pleasant Lunch Club every year on this project. Last year, we gave almost 200 needy children new shoes for school. Part of the proceeds from our Cinco de May’all party will pay for our club’s participation this year.

We need about 20 volunteers from our two clubs to help the kids/parents pick out a pair shoes.  As many members know this is a fun and gratifying project to volunteer for.

The event will run from 7:30am – 10:00am at the Target in Mount Pleasant.   As usual, participation in this service project will earn you a make-up.

This year, Clinton Dunn from the Mount Pleasant Lunch Group and John Albrecht from the East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club will head up this event. Please make plans to attend.
