What do you do with your Rotary Magazine’s after you read them..or don’t read them? If you said recycle them, that’s great! We have an even better idea than tossing them in the recycling bin! Bring your old magazines to a weekly meeting and we will black out your address and attach labels with info on the club meeting time and location as well as club contact info. We then ask that you take the newly marked magazine with you and distribute it anywhere that there is a waiting room! Yep, just plop it down on that stack of magazines that you go through when you’re waiting for the dentist, chiropractor, eye doctor… anywhere! If you don’t see any type of doctor or go to any office where there is a waiting room that’s okay, you can leave your magazine at the sign in table and another member will take it for you! This is a great way to get more use out of the Rotary Magazine as well as snag potential new members! Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

The East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club will meet Tuesday, January 15th, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. in The Cooper River Room at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park. She is a member of Lowcountry Women’s Veterans Association and serves on Joint Base Advisory Council. The Charleston Fisher House is the 73rd Fisher House in the United States and the first one built in residential community.  They raised $4M to purchase property.  The neighbors have embraced the Fisher House and the veterans and families that come stay there say that helps them in their recovery.  The building cost $9M in construction costs and the VA helped pay for the building.  It can serve 16 families and since January 2018 over 600 families have been served at Charleston Fisher House.  The house includes a common kitchen, dining, library, and residential suites.  The Charleston Fisher House is the only 3 story Fisher House which is unique because the layout allows all 16 rooms to be handicap accessible.
