The Awendaw Green Barn Jams are outdoor, year-round Wednesday night original music showcases that get folks off their couch to enjoy and connect with others and support original music and the artists that make it.  Held under grand oaks by an old barn that evokes the Lowcountry in a uniquely hyper-local bohemian atmosphere on the grounds of the Sewee Outpost. Featuring a diverse assembly of music from around the globe. Food may be purchased on site.  $5 donation at door.  All ages welcome. BYO libations, bug spray, and chair.  Pets welcome on a leash.  6-10pm

The next ECB Rotary Club social will be Wednesday, September 23rd at Awendaw Green located next to the Seewee Outpost in Awendaw beginning at 6 PM. This event is family friendly, and the venue includes great music and atmosphere. Come by 6:30 to hear FB’s (Stephanie Bates’ man friend’s) family band play some fantastic Bluegrass music. Entry fee is $5 per person at the gate and live music is onstage until after 10 PM. The club will provide a cooler full of beer or you can BYOB. Pizza, burgers, dogs, brats and burgers are available onsite or feel free to bring your own meal or a dish to share. summer-soiree-logoTEAM 4 SEPTEMBER SOIREE

Who do you know that would make a good Club member?  Someone who puts Service above Self?  Someone you like spending time with or want to get to know even better?  Invite them to Team 4’s Soiree on Thursday, September 17 at Sharon and Mark Hartley’s house, 3712 River Station Court.  It will be a wonderful opportunity to mingle with our Team plus any other Club members who may attend.  Bring an appetizer to share and we’ll supply the wine and beer.  RSVP to Alison Dailey or Sharon Hartley.

summer-soiree-logoService Team #2 will be having a Summer Soiree from 7-10 PM on Friday 28 August at the home of Paul and Anjie Curry. Everyone should plan to bring heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages of your choice to share. One of the objectives for the evening is to introduce prospective members to a small group of people where they can meet and discuss the benefits of Rotary membership. Please try to invite at least one potential member to the party.

In addition, we will have a special guest with us that evening, Giulia Balzano. Giulia is an International Rotary Youth Exchange participant from Italy. Giulia will be attending Wando High School for the 2015-16 school year and I know you will enjoy getting to know her!

Please RSVP by emailing Wayne Cassaday if you can attend this event. Final details and the Curry’s address will be forwarded closer to the date of the soiree.

We are excited to say that we now have a new East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club Facebook page!

Please “Like” the page and invite your friends and family to like it as well.  We will post speakers, events, monthly service projects, pictures, etc. to keep everyone engaged and spreading the good work that our club does.

We ask that members post pictures from events or other Rotary locations you may go to.  We want to see what everyone is doing and how it relates to Rotary’s mission.  Remember tag people in the photos.  This helps to reach more people on Facebook and bring them over to our page.
